Kitesurfing may have certain risk to others, for the safety consideration, it’s recommended to circle out a dedicated area for the use of kitesurfers.

Kitesurfing is a spectacular and interesting sports, plus, it is very safe and wouldn’t affect others very much. It’s unnecessary to separate it with other beach users.

Because Kitesurfing is so new, kitesurfers go out of their way to make sure they do not sail near other beach/water users. Yes HK is small & overcrowded but there are possible locations here that are fairly deserted. Windsurfing is also dangerous but that does not stop you (what do u do in a thyphoon, u go out yes?) The recent advances in the safety systems takes away lots of potential dangers that we faced not so long ago. Kitesurfing is like most other extreme sports (& i include windsurfing) training is essential for beginners as is a responsible attitude and a free spirit. Be Safe guys.
